I have chosen to compare a photo of Nate from my magazine front cover with the front cover photo of Drake from “Vibe” magazine to explain how my magazine represents a particular social group.
Both “Nate” and “chriss” have a similar posture that makes them look dominant .Their facial expressions are very similar as both are looking straight towards the camera and are both wearing shades/sunglasses. They are also both wearing similar styled clothing, black shirt, jeans and bling (watch, chain/necklace). The backgrounds of both covers are dark, simple and straight forward even the lighting is similar. This is done to make the artist stand out from the background and shows the audience what to focus on. The Magazine represents a stylish young social group which is shown throughout the magazine. This is shown by the people featured in my magazine as they are average/normal looking people but have the same dressing and music style that the audience has.

What is the social group? Young male hip-hop fans? You need to think about whether your images reinforce the normal assumptions about such a social group (bling, aggression, rebellion etc) and if so how that is shown in your images. If not how it is challenged.
